Haringey Labour News from your Haringey Labour Team
Haringey Labour has successfully campaigned for Wood Green Station to be made step-free in the next round of the Mayor’s access upgrades.

We promised to tackle inequality in our 2022 manifesto, and we’re delivering on it.
Used by over 170,000 passengers each week, it is one of the busiest stations in our borough, and serves some of our most disadvantaged communities. Put simply, this will change lives.
With the help of our Labour Mayor Sadiq Khan, we are a step closer to a more equitable and inclusive Haringey – but we know there is more to do. We will not stop campaigning until every station in Haringey can be used by every single resident.
TfL will now conduct detailed feasibility studies at the station to confirm whether the necessary upgrades are possible.
Our thanks to Sadiq Khan for setting his ambitious target to get 50 per cent of the Tube network step-free by 2030. Thanks to Disability Action Haringey for joining us on this campaign.
And thanks to the hundreds of people who signed our petition calling for change!
