Following meetings with representatives from our Muslim communities in Haringey, our Leader, Cllr Peray Ahmet, has joined Bibi Khan MBE, who represents 20 North London mosques, to write two letters to the government.
Cllr Ahmet and Bibi Khan have written to the Foreign Secretary calling on the government to recognise Palestine, end arm sales to Israel, impose trade restrictions and sanctions on entities involved in the illegal occupation of Palestine, and redouble its efforts to secure the release of the hostages.
Cllr Ahmet and Bibi Khan have also written to the Home Secretary regarding the rise in islamophobia and antisemitism.
