“Windrush : the hostile environment continues” is an exhibition presented by Black Lives Matter. It demonstrates, through information and education, how the Windrush scandal is rooted within a long historical context and is an ongoing and appalling example of how Black lives do not seem to matter to the UK government.

Importantly, the exhibition challenges us to address this in order to elevate Black lives. Black Lives Matter is a grassroots movement which aims to improve the lives of the Black residents of Haringey by elevating Black voices and facilitating community cohesion, encouraging active allyship and promoting Black owned businesses. We believe that when society is equal, life is better for everyone.

You can see the live exhibition at the following times:

  • Sunday 12th July, 2pm, Pond Square, Highgate, N6 6BA
  • Thursday 16th July, Outside Planet Organic, Muswell Hill, N10 3DB
