Redevelopment works at Osborne Grove Nursing Home are set to go ahead including a new residential nursing home for older residents, with specialist provision for people with learning disabilities and/or autism as they grow older.

There will be a dedicated end-of-life provision for people with a history of homelessness, supported housing for older people as well as community facilities.

Cllr James, Cabinet Member for Adults and Health, said: “I am delighted to see the next phase of development works come forward for Osborne Grove Nursing Home and once completed these works will help us to meet the demand for nursing care in the borough.

“We are absolutely committed to working alongside our community and other public sector partners to develop a model of care that is truly fitting and reflective of the needs of our community. This scheme is no exception and continues to reflect the importance of co-production in shaping service provision in the borough.

“I look forward to when these works are complete and our residents can benefit from the services the nursing home will provide.”
