A range of mental health services will be brought together in a single facility at the Canning Crescent Centre in Wood Green.
The building will provide:
- a number of self-contained short stay rooms for crisis and respite care
- a recovery college
- a café and an evening and weekends crisis centre
The Centre is hoped it will be ready for use by April 2022.
Cllr Sarah James, Cabinet Member for Adults and Health said: “I am pleased to see the way our partners are working together with us to bring forward this important project to improve community services for those experiencing mental ill-health.
“By bringing services together we will achieve a more joined-up approach to mental health support in a building that is purpose built and has strong therapeutic properties. This is a really exciting project.”
